Rant: My kid sister turning our closet into a comic book shrine is actually kinda awesome

She's only twelve but she saved up allowance for MONTHS to buy back issues of Spider-Gwen. Now the whole closet is covered in posters and boxes, floor to ceiling. Our parents were annoyed at first but they see how happy it makes her. I even caught my dad sneaking a peek at one of the books last week. It's cool how something so simple can get the whole family talking about stories and art.

and honestly, the ripple effects of that one moment are probably bigger than anyone realizes. like, now your dad might start picking up random issues at the grocery store or actually asking your sister what the deal is with Gwen Stacy's whole multiverse thing. it could turn into a weekly thing where he brings home a dollar bin book just to see if she's already got it. that closet shrine basically becomes a family museum where everyone has a stake in the collection. next thing you know, your mom is googling the artist for a cover she likes or your dad is debating whether Spider-Gwen or Miles Morales has the cooler suit. it's not just her hobby anymore, it's this weird little bridge between generations.

Seriously? Your dad actually looked at one of those comics? That blows my mind. Most parents would just tell her to clean up the clutter. Him being curious is a huge deal. It turns a kid's hobby into something the whole family can share. That closet shrine is doing more than just storing comics, it's creating real connections. Your sister is lucky to have that support.

It's wild how his simple act (just looking) might quietly challenge every 'kids these days' assumption he's ever had.
