Pro tip: Stop bagging your floppies the old way

I used to slide each comic into a bag with the flap facing up, then tape it shut. Switched to putting the flap facing down last month after a buddy showed me it keeps dust out way better and takes half the tape. Anyone else change up their bagging method?

Honestly I gotta push back on the flap-down hype. Tbh I've been bagging flap-up for like 15 years and never had a dust issue. The tape seal does the job if you press it down good. Plus with flap-up you can slide the comic out without ripping the bag if you're in a hurry. @patricia_lee's buddy probably had cheap bags or was storing them in a basement. I'll stick with flap-up and save the extra tape for something else.

Oh man, I had a buddy who learned this the hard way. He used to bag all his Spider-Man issues flap-up for years, then one day he opened a longbox to find dust had settled right in through the gap and stained the top edges of his comics. He spent a whole weekend re-bagging his entire collection, cussing the whole time. Now he swears by flap-down and even tapes the bottom corners too, like some kind of bagging maniac. I just nodded and said "cool story bro" but secretly I switched my method that same week.
