Just realized I was organizing my long boxes ALL wrong

I've been sorting alphabetically for 8 years and last week at a con a dealer told me I was dumb for not sorting by publisher then alphabet. He pointed out I had X-Men issues spread across three boxes mixed with other Marvel stuff. Has anyone else made this switch and felt like an idiot after?

Did you have to pull everything out and redo your whole system?

Did you end up having to tear it all apart? Honestly I've been through that exact nightmare before and yeah, I had to pull everything out and start fresh. Tbh it sucks but trying to patch things up often leaves more problems down the line. Once you've got the right plan and materials, going all in from scratch actually saves time in the long run. Ngl it's a pain for a day or two but way better than fighting with a half-fixed mess later.
