I used to think the 'no bags' rule at my local shop was dumb

Then I saw a guy drop a stack of mint condition X-Men #94s trying to cram them into a backpack. The owner just sighed and said 'third time this month'. Anyone know a good shop with decent bag policies in the Chicago area?

What changed your mind about the rule? I used to think it was just shops being difficult too, but seeing a guy wreck a vintage record trying to force it into a tote bag made it click. It's not about being strict, it's about protecting the stuff they're selling. That stuff is their whole business. I get it now, even if it's a bit annoying to carry things out.

Ugh, that's brutal. It's like people forget how to handle fragile things. Same energy as watching someone crush bread at the grocery store.
