Hot take: I miss the old way of collecting back issues before the internet took over
I used to spend every Saturday driving to shops like Midtown Comics on 40th Street, digging through long boxes for hours to find a specific issue. Now I just pull up my phone and buy a raw copy of Justice League #200 in 2 minutes flat. It's convenient, sure, but I realized last month I haven't had a real conversation with a store owner or another collector in years. Has anyone else felt like the hunt meant more than the find?

Yeah, "the hunt meant more than the find" really hits home for me. I started buying back issues again a few months ago but I made a rule to only buy from local shops or small shows, no online orders. It takes way longer to complete a run but Ive met some cool people and actually talked to store owners again. You should try setting a rule like that for yourself, even if its just one box or one series. The online stuff kills all the fun if you let it take over everything.

Isn't that just how everything feels now, with apps replacing all the little human moments?
