Got called out at my shop's midnight release for wearing a Marvel shirt to a DC event
Last Saturday my local shop in Akron held a midnight release for the new Absolute Batman issue, and I showed up in my old Fantastic Four tee because I grabbed the first clean shirt in the dark. About 40 people were in line, and this guy behind me loudly asked if I was lost. I laughed it off, but then the shop owner handed me a numbered variant and said I was the only person there who didn't pre-order, so I had to wait for the leftover pile. Ended up with copy 112 of 500 after standing there for 90 minutes. The guy who grilled me actually saved me a spot near the register and we split a box of donuts while we waited. What's the weirdest thing you've been called out for at a release night?
