Friend swore I didn't need to bag my dollar bin comics for storage
So my buddy Mark told me last year that bagging cheap dollar bin comics was a waste of time and money... said they'd be fine in a cardboard box in my closet. I listened to him, skipped the bags, and now 8 months later three issues from that batch have visible spine creases and one even has a stain from humidity. I'm kicking myself because it cost me maybe $12 total to protect them. Has anyone else had a friend give them bad storage advice that ruined part of their collection?

Not gonna lie, Mark kinda steered you wrong on that one. Humidity is rough on any comic price tag or not.

You mentioned "humidity is rough on any comic" and that reminded me of something that happened to a buddy of mine years ago. He kept his vintage Superman issues in his basement without a dehumidifier and didn't think much of it. By the time he pulled them out for a convention, the covers were all wavy and the pages stuck together like a sticky mess. He still brings it up every time we talk about storage. That's one lesson you only learn the hard way.
