A kid at the shop made me rethink graded comics

Stopped by my LCS last Saturday and this teen was flipping through a beat-up copy of Amazing Spider-Man 300, no bag, no board. He said he just wanted to read it, not stare at it in plastic. Made me wonder if I'm hoarding books for the price tag instead of the story. Anyone else quit worrying about grades after a talk like that?
