A guy at my comic shop told me my pull list was too big and it actually fixed my reading
I had been pulling 22 books a month at my local shop here in Fresno and honestly I was drowning. About two months ago this older guy named Ray who runs the Wednesday counter looks at my stack and just goes, you're buying books you never read, kid. I got defensive at first but he was right, I had a pile of like 40 unread issues on my floor. So I cut my list down to 11 titles and started finishing each one the week it comes out. Last month I actually read everything I bought for the first time since 2021. Ray gets it, he's been doing this for 30 years. Anyone else ever have a shop regular call them out and it turned out to be a good thing?
