The snob at Blue Bottle in Portland made me ditch pourover for good
Guy told me my V60 technique was 'aggressive' while I was just trying to get out the door on my lunch break. Been using a French press ever since and honestly I get better flavor with half the attitude. Anyone else run into baristas who think they're coffee judges?

Whoa, maybe your pour was too fast for the beans to bloom properly?

Yeah I actually had the same issue a few weeks back. Slowing down my pour and giving it a good 30 second bloom made a huge difference. Took like 3 tries before I found the sweet spot where it wouldn't stall or channel.
