Spent 8 months trying to dial in a pour over that kept stalling out on me
I thought I was doing everything right with my V60 but my brews would always take like 5 minutes and taste bitter. I changed grind size, water temp, even the pour pattern like 20 times and nothing worked. Then I noticed I was pressing the filter paper too tight against the ridges inside the dripper. I loosened it up just a tiny bit and my drawdown dropped to 3 minutes flat. The coffee tastes way brighter now. Has anyone else had a stupid simple fix like this that took you forever to figure out?

Wonder how many perfectly good mornings were ruined over a paper filter wrinkle.

Man, are people really that fragile? A wrinkled filter means your coffee might take an extra 5 seconds to drip through. Big deal. Half the time I just shake it flat and call it good. People act like a crinkled piece of paper is gonna ruin their whole day and throw off their entire morning ritual. Unless your coffee tastes like burnt socks, just drink it and move on. It's not like the filter police are gonna show up at your door.
