My uncle swore by putting salt in coffee grounds to cut bitterness
So my uncle Bob, who drinks Folgers from a gas station mug, told me to toss a pinch of salt into my coffee grounds before brewing. I laughed it off for months until I tried it last Tuesday with some cheap generic beans I had. The brew came out way smoother, no joke, it actually worked. Now I'm wondering if he's been hiding other kitchen hacks from me. Anyone else got a weird trick from a family member that actually delivered?

Oh my god YES! I was literally the same way, I thought it was just some internet hype that wouldn't actually do anything. But I finally tried it last week when I was desperate and my sink was clogged so bad nothing else worked. I dumped the baking soda and vinegar down there and waited and it actually made this fizzing sound like a science experiment from school. After I flushed it with hot water the drain was totally clear and I felt so dumb for not believing in it sooner honestly.
