My French press decided to shatter this morning at 6AM
Went to press down the plunger and the glass carafe just exploded in my hands (glass shards everywhere). Coffee grounds went all over my white countertops and it looked like a crime scene honestly. I stood there in my socks for a solid minute before grabbing the shop vac. Has anyone else switched to a stainless steel French press after breaking a glass one?

My glass one did the exact same thing a few years ago. Coffee and glass everywhere, I was picking tiny shards out of my feet for weeks. Got a stainless steel one the next day and honestly it's way better. The metal keeps the coffee hot way longer. Plus I don't have to tiptoe around it when I'm half asleep at 6AM. Never going back to glass.
