My 3 year old Chemex cracked last week and I'm still not over it

I bought this Chemex at a shop in Portland back in 2021, used it every single morning without fail. Last Tuesday I set it down on the counter after rinsing it, and a hairline crack just appeared right down the middle. No drop, no bump, nothing. Has anyone else had a Chemex just break like that out of nowhere?

Right when you said "no drop, no bump, nothing" I felt that pain. It's like the universe just decided that thing's time was up. You ever notice how the stuff we use every single day, the stuff that becomes a part of our routine, it always breaks on a random Tuesday morning. Not when you drop it, not when you're being clumsy. Just a quiet little rebellion from the thing itself. Sorry about your Chemex, man. That's a real bummer.

I just superglued the crack in my old one and it held for 6 more months.
