I used to think pour-over was a waste of time until a buddy proved me wrong
I always figured pour-over coffee was just for hipsters who liked waiting around. But my friend Mike in Portland made me try a cup from his Chemex last weekend (he uses a gooseneck kettle and everything). The flavor was way cleaner than my usual drip machine, no bitterness at all. Now I'm wondering if I should ditch my $30 Mr. Coffee for a $40 V60 setup. Has anyone else switched from auto drip to pour-over and actually stuck with it?

Isn't it funny how little upgrades can make you rethink the whole way you do things?

Oh man, I used to roll my eyes at that stuff but you're totally right - swapping out my old kettle for a temperature-controlled one completely changed how I make coffee every morning.
