Can we talk about the great coffee machine breakdown of last month?

My espresso machine's pump gave out on a Monday, so I had to use a cheap drip maker for five days straight. I went to three different shops trying to find a decent replacement cup, but nothing compared. The real kicker was when my friend said, 'It's just coffee, get over it.' That whole week, my morning routine felt completely off. Has anyone else had a simple gear failure throw their whole coffee life into chaos?

Used to think people were over the top about their coffee gear until my French press cracked. Had to use instant for a few days and it was like drinking brown water. My whole morning felt wrong, like I was starting the day on the back foot. Now I get it, that little ritual is the anchor for everything else.
