Barista at a shop in Portland told me my pour was too aggressive and I've been dialing it back ever since

I was doing this real fast aggressive pour into the center and then swirling. She said I should slow down and pour closer to the edge to stop the channeling. Has anyone else gotten feedback on their pouring technique that completely changed their brew?

Next you'll be told your agitate is too aggressive.

Try slowing down and see if your pours actually taste sweeter with less bitterness.
