Barista at a shop in Denver told me my pour was too aggressive
Guy watched me pour latte art and said I was pouring like I was mad at the milk. He showed me to tilt the cup way more and pour slow from lower down. Anyone else get random feedback from strangers that actually fixed a bad habit?

oh man the tilt thing is a game changer. i used to pour like i was trying to drown the espresso too until some random guy at a shop in austin told me the same thing. he said imagine you're spooning the milk into the cup instead of dropping it from a height. also try to keep the pitcher spout pretty much touching the surface of the coffee while you pour your base. that slow low pour lets the milk settle in a layer instead of blasting through the crema. fixed my latte art in like a week.
