A guy at the Portland airport coffee cart told me to always ask for a 'half-pour' on Americanos.

He said it gets the water-to-espresso ratio right without needing to add extra shots, and now I do it everywhere, but has anyone else found a barista who actually knows what that means?

Wait, you're just taking some random guy at an airport coffee cart's word for it? That's a bold move. I would not expect a barista at a normal shop to have any clue what a "half-pour" is. You're basically speaking a secret language you made up.

Hold up, did you just call an airport coffee worker a "random guy"? That's a real person doing a job, my dude. They make hundreds of drinks a day. The idea that they wouldn't know a simple term is wild. Maybe your normal shops are just bad at their jobs.
