Tried to save $20 by booking a night bus in Mexico City... big mistake

Ngl I thought I was being smart catching the overnight ADO bus from Mexico City to Oaxaca last month for only 500 pesos. Around 2am the AC totally died and we were stuck in some random town in Puebla for two hours while they tried to fix it. Has anyone else had a bus breakdown ruin their whole next day? What do you do when budget travel goes sideways like that?

500 pesos is like $25 USD. You got from Mexico City to Oaxaca for that price and only had a 2 hour delay. That's a win in my book honestly.

Have you ever tried getting an Uber from the airport in Mexico City during peak hours? Because that alone would cost you half of that ticket price. 2 hours delay is practically on time with Volaris, I've sat on the tarmac for 3 before they even started the safety demo. I'll take that over sitting in CDMX traffic for 4 hours any day.
