Saw my hotel bill drop $400 after switching booking days
Always booked weekend getaways on Friday. Dumb move. Friend told me to check Wednesday prices instead. Saved $400 on a 4 night stay in Portland. Same hotel. Same room. Just booked on a Wednesday. Anyone else notice huge price swings based on booking day?

Depends on the hotel chain really. Some places use dynamic pricing that changes by the hour, not just the day. A one-off $400 swing sounds more like a glitch or a limited-time promo than a regular pattern.

Right, because clearly my hotel booking strategy of refreshing the page every 37 minutes while crying is totally normal behavior. I've definitely refreshed and seen a price go from $150 to $550 in between typing my credit card number and hitting "submit." Probably just me not being patient enough, or maybe the hotel AI just hates my face. Either way, I'm just glad I can blame glitches and not my terrible luck.
