Rant: I spent $80 on a supposed 'budget' eSIM card for Europe and it barely worked.
I bought Airalo's regional Europe plan for a two-week trip through three countries, and after the first day in Prague I couldn't even load Google Maps, so I ended up spending another $35 on a local SIM, which makes me wonder if anyone else has found a reliable cheap option for multi-country travel?

I paid $60 for an Airalo regional plan and it was spotty in Paris, basically dead in rural Switzerland. I had to buy a Lycamobile SIM in a convenience store for $20 and it worked way better. The whole eSIM thing feels like a scam for multi-country trips. Just grab a local prepaid SIM at the first airport you land at, it's way cheaper and more reliable. Ain't nobody got time for that app hassle.
