Overheard a flight attendant talking about booking on Tuesdays at 3am
I was waiting for my gate in Denver last week and caught two flight attendants chatting at the counter. One of them said she always books her personal flights on Tuesday mornings around 3am mountain time because that's when airlines dump unsold seats. She claimed it saved her about 40% on a recent trip to Chicago compared to booking Friday night. I tried it this week for a flight to Seattle and my fare dropped from $280 to $170 after checking at 3am Tuesday. Has anyone else tested this timing trick or is it just luck on my end?

Right, and isn't that the worst kept secret in the industry by now? I've been doing that for years and it's legit for most domestic routes. Honestly feels like airlines are just daring us to wake up at weird hours for cheap seats.
