My "budget" hostel in Prague billed me twice and ghosted me
Booked a 3-night stay at a hostel in Prague for $45 total, paid upfront with my card, and thought I was set. Then a week after I got home, they charged me another $45 with no explanation, and support hasn't replied to 4 emails over 2 weeks. Has anyone else had a hostel double-charge them, and how do you actually get your money back without burning a whole day on hold?

That first charge might have been a pre-authorization that just sat there and then cleared after the final amount was settled. Call your bank instead of the hostel, since they can start a dispute and often pull the money back within a few days if you explain the situation clearly. Most card companies have fraud protection for this exact thing, so you do not need to waste hours chasing a place that is clearly ignoring you.
