Just got back from Prague and the hostel scene is totally different now
I was there in 2022 and a bed in a decent 8-person dorm was around $12 a night. Went back last week and the same spot is charging $28. The owner said it's a mix of post-pandemic demand and new tourist taxes the city added. It's not just one place, I checked five hostels and they've all doubled in two years. Anyone found a good workaround for Eastern Europe lately, or is it time to look at other regions?
