Changed my mind about hostel dorms after a night in Barcelona
I always thought hostels were gross and not worth it, but my friend Sarah talked me into a 4-bed dorm at Kabul Hostel for 18 euros a night. Turns out the place was clean, had free breakfast, and I met three cool travelers who showed me a secret rooftop view of La Sagrada Familia. Has anyone else had a good hostel experience that changed their mind about budget sleeping?

emma_smith mentioned Circus Hostel saying the free walking tour was decent. Just a small thing - Circus actually charges like 12 euros for their walking tour, it's not free. I stayed there too and still paid for it, but honestly it was worth it. Good spot though, real clean.

Oh man, that sounds awesome! I actually had a similar thing happen in Berlin. I was really nervous about sharing a room with strangers but ended up at this place called Circus Hostel. The vibe was so chill, and one of my roommates turned out to be a local who took me to this hidden currywurst spot that wasn't in any guidebook. The free walking tour they offered was actually decent too, not just someone trying to sell you stuff. It definitely made me rethink the whole hostel thing.
