Back in 2012, you could get a decent hostel bed in Prague for under 15 euros a night, but now the same spot is pushing 40.
It makes me wonder if the classic 'Eastern Europe is cheap' travel hack is officially dead, or if you just have to look harder for those deals now.

That "Eastern Europe is cheap" hack is definitely fading. You can still find deals if you go way off the beaten path, but the main cities are just expensive now. The golden age of dirt cheap travel there is over.
