Why does nobody talk about frozen vegetables for budget stir fry?
Back in college I had to pick between fresh veggies from the market or a bag of frozen ones for my stir fry, and I went with the frozen bag for $2.50. Turned out they held up fine and I saved over $5 a week on groceries. Anyone else stick with frozen over fresh for weeknight dinners?

Honestly I used to be one of those people who looked down on frozen veggies. Thought they'd be mushy and gross compared to fresh. But then I tried a bag of frozen broccoli and bell peppers in my stir fry last winter and yeah I was totally wrong. They crisp up fine if you don't overcook them and it's way cheaper than buying fresh every week.

oliver811 you're right and the real hack is frozen works better in sauces since it releases less water.
