That one Tuesday when Aldi had markdowns on everything I needed
Last month I had a terrible Monday - my clipper broke mid-groom on a golden retriever and I had to finish with my backup that sounds like a lawnmower. I was already in a bad mood about spending money on repairs. I stopped by Aldi after work just to grab milk and eggs, and somehow every single item on my list had a yellow clearance sticker. A three-pound bag of chicken thighs was marked down to $4.20, and they had a flat of bell peppers for $1.50. I grabbed a family pack of ground beef that was $3 off because it was the sell-by date that day. I ended up with enough meat for two weeks of dinners for like $22. Has anyone else had that one perfect clearance day that felt like the grocery gods were finally on your side?

That one Tuesday I scored a whole pork loin for like six bucks at Aldi and I felt like I won the lotto. I mean, I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do with a five-pound slab of meat but at that price I couldn't say no. My freezer now looks like a survivalist's bunker with discounted ground beef and chicken thighs stacked in there. I even bought two bags of frozen broccoli that were marked down to a dollar each just because it was there. Honestly the only thing that would've made it better is if they had a clearance on dog clippers too.

Man, I love that feeling. I got a whole pork loin for cheap once and just cut it into chops and a roast, stuck it in the freezer. Worked out great. And yeah, the broccoli deal is key, I stock up on that stuff too because it keeps forever. The freezer game is real, you just gotta commit to meal planning a little.
