Switched to a 3-day meal prep Sunday after my $412 grocery bill in Austin

I used to shop daily and blow $15 a trip, but since I started cooking 6 portions of rice and beans plus a big pot of soup every Sunday, my weekly total dropped to $58, so has anyone else seen that kind of shift from just planning ahead?

Wait, $412 down to $58 a week? That's a wild drop, honestly. I mean, I knew planning helps, but that's like a whole car payment you're saving every month. Tbh, I always figured daily shopping was just a convenience tax, not a straight up robbery. Ngl, your soup and beans routine sounds boring, but if it's cutting my bill by 85 percent, I might have to copy it. How long did it take you to actually get used to cooking that much at once? I feel like I'd burn out by week two.
