My grandma told me to always save the water from boiling potatoes. I thought it was just an old habit, but I've been using it to make soup bases for a year now.

That water's Liquid Gold" and you're right to keep it. I use it for bread dough instead of throwing it out. My grandma would be proud I finally listened to her.
