Last Wednesday I made 15 meals from a single $12 bag of lentils

I don't know what got into me but I bought a 5 pound bag of dried lentils at the grocery store in Austin for $12. Last Wednesday I decided to see how far I could stretch it. I made a big pot of lentil soup with carrots and onions I had around. Then I used the leftovers to make lentil burgers with some old breadcrumbs. After that I turned the rest into a sort of lentil curry with a can of crushed tomatoes I found in the back of the pantry. By Friday I had eaten 15 separate meals out of that one bag. I didn't even finish it. Has anyone else gone on a weird bean or lentil spree like that and just eaten the same thing for a week?

Counting 15 meals from a bag of lentils seems like a lot of math for something that could have just been a big pot of soup.

Wait, are you saying you'd rather make a huge pot of soup and eat it for a week straight instead of having 15 separate meals you can freeze and grab whenever?
