Bought a $15 rice cooker from a thrift store last month...

I picked up this beat up little rice cooker at a Goodwill in Austin for $15, and it's been making perfect rice every single time. Has anyone else had luck with cheap rice cookers or should I upgrade before it dies on me?

Same thing with my old $10 toaster that's been running strong for 6 years now.

Wait, is that toaster actually $10 or did you mean it was cheap? Because I feel like $10 toasters from six years ago would have been made of some kind of cheap metal that definitely isn't lasting that long. Maybe it's just really well made for how little you paid, but most stuff from that price range back then would have burnt out by now. I have a feeling you either got lucky or you're not using it as much as you think. Either way, hats off to your little toaster for beating the odds.
