Finally stopped buying those cheap charcoal starters after last weekend
I used to grab those white cube starters every trip to Home Depot because they were $3.99. Last Saturday at my buddy's place in Austin he showed me his chimney starter setup and I lit a whole load of lump charcoal in 8 minutes flat. Anybody else learn a basic tool that made them feel dumb for waiting so long?

Man that chimney starter thing hit me hard too. Your "8 minutes flat" line is no joke, I tried it for the first time last month and was pissed I'd been wasting time with those white cubes for like three years. The dumb part is I thought the chimney was just for like, fancy Weber grill guys who wear those stupid aprons. Now I got one sitting next to my kettle and I swear I use less charcoal overall because it burns so even. My buddy laughed at me when I told him I used to just pile the coals up and douse them in lighter fluid like a idiot. Definitely feel you on that one.
