Dropped $180 on a fancy injector, got watery meat instead of flavor

I bought a high-end dual-needle injector from a BBQ supply shop in Austin, figured it would beat my plastic syringe from the dollar store. Followed the instructions to the letter with a vinegar-based marinade, and the brisket came out soggy with the seasoning pooling in one spot. Has anyone else had better luck with these expensive rigs, or is a cheap syringe just as good if you know the trick?

honestly I gotta push back on this one because I think the real issue isnt the injector itself but how people use these big rigs. Ive got a cheap plastic one from the grocery store and the first time I used it I also ended up with watery meat, so I hear you. But the trick is you gotta go slow and do multiple small passes, not jam the whole needle in and push the plunger in one go. That fancy dual needle probably shoots way more liquid at once, which means it pools easier if you dont ease up on the pressure. Also vinegar based stuff breaks down the meat fibers way faster than oil based marinades, so you might be overdoing it on time or volume without realizing it. Try cutting the marinade amount in half and doing quick short bursts instead of one long pump, I bet youll see a difference.
