Tried making my own yogurt and ended up with a weird cheese-like blob
I followed a YouTube video for homemade yogurt using whole milk and a tablespoon of store-bought yogurt as starter, but after 8 hours in a warm oven I got a lumpy, sour mess that tasted more like farmer's cheese. I think my oven was too hot and killed the good bacteria or something because it never set right. Has anyone else had their yogurt turn into a solid block like that?

Yeah my buddy tried the same thing and his oven was at like 120 degrees apparently. He left it in overnight and woke up to this solid brick of sour cheese that you could literally slice with a knife. He said it smelled like feet but he ate some anyway and got a bad stomach ache.

120 degrees? That's like a warm bath, not an oven. No wonder it turned into a science experiment.
