Rant: That simple reseal took over 4 hours because of one stupid rule
I needed to reseal a concrete driveway for a customer last Thursday. Should have been a 45 minute job with a pressure washer and some sealer. But the HOA in that neighborhood has a rule about no runoff going into the storm drains. I had to block every single drain with sandbags and plastic sheeting, then vacuum up all the water with a shop vac. Took me 2 hours just to set up and clean up the water. Then the sealer wouldn't dry right because the humidity was high. I ended up finishing at 7 PM for a job that should have been done by lunch. Has anyone else run into these kinds of dumb extra requirements that just eat up your whole day?
