Rant: That chat with my neighbor about his garden sprinklers

My neighbor Bob was out watering his lawn at 7pm last Tuesday and I walked over to ask why he bothered since we had rain coming. He told me he gave up on trying to control nature and just lets his sprinklers run whenever he feels like it, and his grass is actually greener than mine now. Am I overthinking my whole watering schedule or does Bob just have dumb luck?

Ngl that's terrible advice, schedules exist for a reason and Bob's gonna get fines for wasting water during drought restrictions.
