Question about picking between a dedicated bike lane or a shared path for commuting

I had to choose between a 3-mile bike lane on a busy road or a 2-mile shared path through a park. I picked the shared path but got stuck behind a jogger for 5 minutes. Has anyone else dealt with slow traffic on off-road routes?

Wait, you got stuck for five full minutes behind a jogger? That's insane. I'd rather deal with car traffic than lose that much time to someone who can just step aside for two seconds. Guess I'll stick to the bike lane and hope for the best.
