Question about my printer dying 10 minutes before I had to leave for a client meeting
My printer jammed and then just quit on me at 8:50 this morning, right before a 9:30 client meeting across town in Austin. I pulled out the tray, cleared the paper, and it still gave me a blank screen, so I did the only thing I could think of and turned it off and back on. Nothing. I ended up emailing the file from my phone at a coffee shop near their office and printed three copies at a FedEx for $2.40. The meeting went fine, but I still don't know if the printer is dead for good or if it just needed to sit unplugged for an hour. What's the first thing you check when a printer goes totally dark, and is it even worth fixing or should I just replace it?
