PSA: my washing machine flooded the laundry room at 11pm on a Sunday
The drain hose popped off the back of the machine mid spin cycle and dumped water all over the floor in about 30 seconds. I stood there for a solid minute just watching it before I remembered to shut the water valve off. By then it had soaked through the mat and was creeping toward the hallway carpet, so I used every towel in the house and then ran to the garage for the wet vac. It happened in my place off 8th street, and the downstairs neighbor knocked on my door about the drip coming through his ceiling. What do you guys keep on hand for water messes like this, or am I the only one who was totally unprepared?
