My neighbor told me my compost pile looked like a crime scene
She said I was adding too much green waste and not enough browns, so I started keeping a 3:1 ratio of leaves to kitchen scraps. Has anyone else gotten weird feedback on their gardening habits?

Ha, your neighbor thinks your compost is a crime scene? That's gold. I'd be tempted to leave a little chalk outline on the ground next to the pile just to mess with her. Honestly though, keeping that 3:1 ratio is solid advice, browns really do fix the stink and the flies. But maybe next time she comes over, tell her you swear it was just a bunch of banana peels and coffee grounds, no bodies involved.
