My grandpa and I argued about bagged vs leaf blower for an hour last Sunday

Last Sunday at my parents' house near Akron, my grandpa swore his old bag mower does a better job than my cordless leaf blower for the yard. He said the blower just moves dirt around and doesn't actually clean up. I showed him how I can clear the entire driveway in 15 minutes flat. But then he pointed out that his bagger picks up everything without making a cloud of dust. So who's right here - do you guys use bags or blowers for fall cleanup? I'm torn because both have upsides.

Shook my head reading this. An hour long argument about yard tools. That is some serious dedication to lawn care right there. I guess when you're retired and staring at leaves all day, you develop strong opinions about the equipment.

I got stuck in a 45 minute debate with my neighbor Bob about gas vs electric trimmers last fall. What finally worked was me offering to let him try my battery powered one for a weekend. He ended up liking it enough to buy his own and now we just wave at each other instead of arguing. Have you ever tried letting someone borrow your equipment to settle a disagreement?
