Heard a recorded message at a Shell station on I-10 last week that listed tire pressure, coolant level, and oil grade one by one, and now I actually check all three before I leave the driveway - has anyone else had a weird public announcement make them rethink their routine?

Right? It's like your car suddenly has a voice of its own telling you what to do. That message probably works better than any YouTube tutorial because it's right there while you're already parked at the pump. Makes you wonder what other routine warnings we just tune out until someone says them out loud in the right moment. The real trick is getting that same voice in your head before every long drive, not just when the gas station reminds you.

It's just a gas cap, man. People act like they avoided a total engine failure when really they just saved themselves a couple bucks from the gas evaporating.
