Hand-chopping veggies vs using a food processor for salsa

I used to think a food processor was faster for pico de gallo but it turned everything into mush. Hand-chopping takes an extra 5 minutes but the texture is way better and people actually compliment it at parties. Am I wrong or is this just the way?

Are you rinsing the onions to mellow them out before mixing?

Totally changed my mind on this. I used to be a food processor diehard but now I see the light with hand chopped salsa. The texture alone makes it worth those extra 5 minutes for sure.
