Found out my furnace filter was killing my electric bill by 30 bucks a month
I was looking at my utility bills last week and noticed a huge jump, so I dug into it and found out a dirty MERV 11 filter can actually make your blower motor work way harder and cost more. Some people say high-MERV filters are worth it for air quality, but others argue they're too restrictive for most residential units. Which side do you come down on for a standard house setup?

My MERV 11 filter was costing me $40 a month extra before I switched to a basic pleated one.
