Oh man, I feel this! It's like companies are charging premium prices for features that should just be basic nowadays. I've noticed this same pattern everywhere you look - like my friend paid extra for a "smart" fridge that literally just tells you when the milk is expired, but doesn't even organize the shelves. It's wild how we're paying top dollar for half-baked tech that still can't do the simple stuff a cheap manual thermostat did for decades.
