Can we talk about how fast Craigslist went from useful to spooky?

I was cleaning out my garage last weekend and needed to get rid of an old couch, so I hopped on Craigslist for the first time in maybe 3 years. I remembered back in 2015 I sold a bike in like 2 hours for the asking price, but this time I got 6 scam replies in the first 10 minutes. One guy wanted me to ship it to his sister in Ohio and offered to pay double. Has anyone else noticed the platform go downhill that fast?

Did you ever try Facebook Marketplace? I listed a bookcase on there last month and had to turn off notifications after 20 minutes because people kept asking if it was still available even though I clearly said yes in the reply. Seems like every free platform just attracts the weirdos and scammers now.

Oh I hear you, I used to be one of those people who thought Facebook Marketplace was fine if you just ignored the nonsense. Then I tried selling my old couch on there and within two hours I had three people message me saying they'd come pick it up that night and nobody ever showed. One guy even argued with me about the price after I clearly had it listed as firm. It changed my mind pretty quick about using those free platforms for anything valuable.
