Tried AI to plan my landscape designs and the results were wild

I plugged my lot measurements from Austin into Midjourney to see what it would spit out for a backyard layout. It gave me a design with a koi pond and a fire pit that actually looked decent, but the plant spacing was all wrong. Learned pretty quick you can't trust the AI on practical stuff like drainage or root spread. Has anyone else had success blending AI ideas with real world know how?

Used it for inspiration but always run the plans past a local nursery for reality checks.

And honestly that mismatch between AI vision and practical reality is the PERFECT example of why you can't skip the human eyeball test. I took a Midjourney mockup of a raised bed layout straight to a soil testing lab and found out half the plants it suggested would rot in our clay within two seasons. The AI has no clue about your specific microclimate or what's actually growing in your neighbors' yards for a reason. What I started doing is feeding the AI designs to a local landscape architect I know and asking him to redline the stupid stuff before I even buy a shovel. It turns a fifty dollar design into a five hundred dollar plan but beats digging up a dead koi pond three years from now.
