TIL that using AI for my meal planning actually cut my grocery bill by 25%

I used to just wander the grocery store every Saturday and grab whatever looked good. That usually meant I'd buy a bunch of stuff that went bad in my fridge by Tuesday. About 3 months ago I started using a free AI meal planning tool where you put in what's on sale at your local store and it spits out recipes. Now I spend maybe 10 minutes inputting the weekly ads from my Smith's grocery store and it plans 5 dinners plus a lunch prep. My cart is way more focused and I'm not buying random impulse items anymore. The weirdest part is that I actually got better at cooking because the recipes push me to try vegetables I never used before. Has anyone else tried this approach or found a tool that works better for budgeting?

Just what I need, an AI telling me what vegetables to buy. Like my mother wasn't enough.
